From the CA Team
Good Afternoon,
We hope everyone has had a successful Week 3 of Term 2.
One of the highlights this week is the 3-10 Excursions carried out on Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday the Timaru Campus Year 9-10 students travelled to Christchurch and visited the Escape Rooms and the Quake City Museum. The Gore Campus (including Dunedin) Year 3-10 students travelled to Dunedin and visited the Water Treatment Plant and Ocho Chocolate Factory.
Today, the Timaru Campus Year 3-8 students travelled to Christchurch. The Year 3-6 students visited Ferrymead Heritage Park. The Year 7-8 students did a trip across to Quail Island in Lyttleton Harbour and did a walk, then to the Christchurch Gondolas. After the cold southerly the weather has cleared and it is looking like a a great day out.
Mrs Olivia Brown visited the South junior campus this week to observe the students and teachers. We have had very good feedback from her. Also was an opportunity to get some comments around the junior learning space and the physical requirements. More to come on this as we try to create more room for the increased junior numbers.
Jonathan Moore, Isaac Bishop and myself were privileged to have a day in Sydney this week to catch up with CA’s and school management from across NZ and Australia. Was great to share challenges and opportunities as well as listen in on management as they plan and set the goals for Oneschool going into 2024.
A reminder to all Dad’s of the lunch on Monday – we look forward to seeing as many as possible. The positive engagement means a lot to students and staff.
Enjoy your weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone again next week.
Tim Suckling, on behalf of the CA Team
