From the CA Team
Good afternoon all,
It was great to spend time on campus again this week. We have a very positive learning environment, and this is a real credit to the staff and students.
Last week the Student Leadership Team discussed better use of the Learning Centre spaces, and it was impressive to see the leadership they are showing in using the open collaborative space rather than working in studio rooms. The way we use the space is an important part of getting maximum benefit from the Learning to Learn framework.
For senior students this is a very important time of the year. NCEA students have received significant numbers of marks now but are still at a point where they can influence their final results.
We are only one week from the start of OSG exams; these are a great opportunity to find weaknesses ahead of the final examinations later in the year, and the OSG results become critically important if a student is unable to sit the final exams due to sickness or injury.
OSG are providing a series of three study tips videos by learning expert Karen Boyes which will be available to all Year 11-13 students prior to the OSG exams.
Finally, please help us maintain 100% attendance (no unjustified absences) this month. If your child/ren will be absent due to community meetings, please complete the following form by 5 PM today: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/510ef581e38b408abb10480d92921245
All the best for the weekend from Jonathan Moore on behalf of the CA Team
