Wow, how this year has flown by, this time next week school will be over for 2018.
One theme Mr Morrison and the teachers have pushed this year is the theme of personal excellence goals, and we look forward to Graduation next week with a celebration of personal excellence for our students.
I think it important for parents and community to understand what a personal excellence goal is. For some students it is getting Achieved and other students Merit or Excellence, whatever level if a student has set a goal that is the maximum of their academic capacity and worked hard to reach that goal then that is personal excellence and we need to celebrate it.
We are planning our Term 4 Supporters Update Zoom Meeting next Monday night and will send out a link for this today.
As the year comes to a close, I would like to thank Mr Morrison and our team of professional teachers for their hard work, passion and commitment for 2018, it has been much appreciated by all students, parents and our community.
Kind Regards,
Nick Blampied, on behalf of the CA Team
It is with regret that I received Mrs Lovely’s resignation this week. She has contributed a lot to our Campus over the last 2 years. Her enthusiasm and passion for environmental education and in particular the initiative of a ‘gardening club’ will be greatly missed. Mrs Lovely leaves with our blessing and I wish her all the best for a full recovery and for her future. Mrs Lovely will remain on sick leave until the end of this year, but will return for Graduation on December 6th, to say goodbye to her class. We are now working hard to secure an excellent replacement.
Mr Morrison
Campus Principal
Zavia Brewerton - Zavia is a Year 3 student. He has put lots of effort to improving in every topic: literacy, maths, school activities etc. We admire him because he is enthusiastic and trying his best. Even when he can’t do something he will try over and over, always with a positive and contagious attitude. Great work Zavia.
Krystal Currie - Krystal is a positive and hardworking student and always has time for a laugh, making school fun! Krystal has stepped up as her role of a Student Leader and is a great attribute to South Campus. Keep up the great work Krystal.
Year 7/8 Debating Semi-Final...
Our South Campus team of Alfonso Simmons, Cherry Rountree and Lorenzo Rawnsley represented us very well at the Semi-Final vs Wellington campus on Wednesday. The moot was "Vegetarianism is the best way" and South were once again on the negative side. While the result went the way of a very deserving Wellington team, our debaters showed great courage and confidence in their performance. It has been a great experience for all of the students and the skill our South 7/8 students show in working over zoom really stood out - great job team!
Dunedin Wall Art - The Finished Product...
All the effort that has gone into this wall art feature by Tizana and Tara has been well worth it.
It has brightened up our site and there have been many comments on how fantastic it is.
Well done girls, on your hard work and commitment to this project!
Personal excellence can be achieved by a visionary goal, through planning, dedicated execution, and total follow-through.
