Good Afternoon All,
Massive thanks to all our supporters at Cross Country in Dunedin last Friday. The students enjoyed their games in the afternoon which was a great ending to the day. We also had the opportunity to have a face-to-face meeting with the Student Leadership Team before Cross Country.
Student Device Management - South Campus has been doing well at logging into our students devices this week. Congratulations to Ashburton, Timaru, Gore and Invercargill who got 100% this week. Great work, keep it up!
We are still running a little behind on the Van Reporting. Please ensure you do this after every trip and report anything that needs attention.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Invercargill next Friday. Please make sure you register via the link below to see our students amazing talent.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
From the CA Team
My name is Mr Gareth Sutton, I teach Science and Physical Education.
I hail from the Central Otago where I was brought up on a sheep and beef farm in the high country. I enjoy getting back to my roots and spending time outdoors. I enjoy outdoor pursuits such as hiking, biking, running, and kayaking.
I have recently spent 5 years on and off overseas, mainly in North America and the United Kingdom, where I balanced teaching and active 'life skills'. My highlight was going to the 2019 cricket world cup where New Zealand was robbed! So it is nice to see them get some sort of justice by winning the recent test championship.
It is nice to be back in Timaru and closer to the family where my sister and mother live. My sister has recently had a little girl so it has been nice becoming an Uncle.
I am enjoying the South Campus and being surrounded by supportive staff. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone in Invercargill next week.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute and be a part of the South team.
Thanks again.
From the Year 9-13 Students at Dunedin Campus
On Friday last week, the Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill Campuses had their Cross Country day. This was located at the Memorial Park in Mosgiel, Dunedin. We were very lucky with the weather as the sun shone and the ground was dry enough to run on! Everyone ran their allotted distance and had lots of fun. There were games at the end of the day, field soccer for the boys and indoor basketball for the girls. It was raining a little near the end of the day but that didn’t stop anyone from running and playing to their full potential!
A big thank you to all the people who helped to make this day such a success. We really enjoyed it.
Reports are being sent out today. To better understand how to read the Junior or Senior School Report, please watch the below videos.
A reminder that these reports are ‘progress reports’ indicating progress toward the end of the year expectations for students.
