Good Afternoon South Campus,
This term has been very busy and in many ways disrupted but everything seems to be going well on campus.
We are finishing the week now with 1 week left to go to finish Term 3. Senior students have been working hard with their eye on the internal and then later the external exams. Keep up the effort. The highlight directly ahead is the Perfect Pitch challenge. Teams need to be working hard on this, drawing on the support of their coaches and a reminder the presentation needs to be ready for Thursday morning 31st September. Also looking forward to the market day stalls on campus as well.
A reminder - Timaru Campus will be closed on Monday for South Canterbury Anniversary Day.
Everyone have a great weekend.
Kind Regards,
Tim Suckling

Operation Egg Drop
Background: The Army are often called in to help people I countries in need. For example, when a country is hit by a hurricane the Army is called in to deliver food, medical and building supplies to support people who are in desperate need. Not always can the military aircraft land at the airport due to damage or the people who need the deliveries are cut off from towns and roads. The military need to be able to drop off the deliveries from a height to get to where they are needed without landing the plane.
Your mission: The Army have contacted you to build a device that could protect an egg that when dropped from a height the egg will stay intact (Not break).
From the Year 9-13 Students at Dunedin Campus
As Market day is approaching quickly, the Year 7-10 students are quickly preparing their businesses for selling. We are super excited for 1st of October when it will be held at the Timaru and Invercargill campuses. We would really appreciate you coming along on the day and supporting the students' businesses. There are many different stalls and awesome products in the market which the students have been putting a lot of effort into. Please see below the Dunedin Y10 Boys video and Pre-order form below.
