From the Year 3-6 Students at Invercargill Campus
What a great start to Term 4 we have had. Our students have been super busy with swimming now under way and getting stuck back into their learning.
We are very excited to have Mrs Cameron back with us this term with lots of exciting events planned and outings coming up.
We also have Mrs Wilson in our class with us on Fridays working on some exciting activities with our juniors. On Friday we had lots of fun planning, creating, and making bird feeders out of recycled craft materials.

From the Year 9-13 Students at Dunedin Campus
Today, South Campus fundraised for St. John by selling food at morning tea. Dunedin Campus sold chocolate muffins and savouries and did a colouring in competition. Please keep an eye out for the winners in next weeks newsletter. Here is a poster from the St. John's morning tea.
Vaccination Order – Education Sector changes
The health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone in the OneSchool Global community is of paramount importance to the Global Board. In response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, vaccines and treatments have been developed for deployment across the world. During June 2021, OneSchool Global developed a Vaccination policy with reference to government, health, and education authorities in the locations where OneSchool Global operates. The policy is subject to change when such authorities revise their directions.
On 11 October 2021 the Government announced an amendment to the current Vaccination Order to include all the people who work at our school, such as campus principals, teachers, support staff, contractors, visiting staff and volunteers.
Application of Order to independent schools
We have confirmed with the Ministry of Education that the Health Order from the New Zealand Government applies to all schools across the country including independent schools. Since this also applies to OneSchool Global NZ we will require that all staff and workers who may have contact with children and students in our campuses meet the requirements set out in the New Zealand Government announcement.
The scope of this requirement is broad and includes all the people who work at our school, such as campus principals, teachers, support staff, contractors, visiting staff and volunteers.
Next steps
This will mean that we will require all our staff and volunteers to have received their first COVID-19 vaccination by 15 November 2021 and us all need to be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.
To assist us through this process can you please confirm your current vaccination status by completing the questionnaire on the link below. The due date for completing the questionnaire is 4:00pm on Monday 1 November. We will require official evidence of your vaccination status. We will maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of the information you provide us in accordance with the Privacy Act. For a copy of the Privacy statement, please send a request to hr.support@nz.oneschoolglobal.com. Anyone who fails to respond to this request will be viewed as not vaccinated.
Questionnaire:
We encourage anyone who are hesitant to get vaccinated to contact me so we could explore certain options. Therefore, we ask that you communicate to us in writing if you intend to be vaccinated if you are not currently, if you are not intending to receive the vaccination then please advise us if you have any genuine reasons for not being vaccinated. With that said you are entitled to, and we encourage you to seek support, advice or representation regarding this.
We understand that this will be stressful news and an uncertain time. Please feel free to make a time to meet with me privately to discuss anything the organization might do to support you during this time.
