A short contribution from the CA Team.
Thanks to all the students and staff for the smooth but busy start to Term 4.
For the senior students it will be looking a very short term with preparations underway for the NCEA exams beginning early in November. Plans are underway for 2nd November which is the last day of school for our Y13 students and the last day of school for 2022 for our Y11 & Y12’s.
In Timaru we have a new staff member Mrs Rebecca Smith who is the new Teacher Aide in the Junior Learning Centre. Welcome to the team Mrs Smith. Work is also underway in recruiting for the Senior Learning Centre which we hope we will be in a position to report on very soon.
Parents should have received an email with the 2023 enrolment and ICT agreement. These are required to be uploaded by next Friday 28th October. We suggest as always best practice – do this now to save forgetting and being followed up later!
Thanks to everyone for the great week and wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable long weekend.
Tim Suckling, on behalf of the CA Team.

Kia ora South Campus,
My name is Rebecca Smith and I am the new Teacher Aide in the Timaru Junior Learning Centre.
For the past 6 years I have been a Swim Instructor here in Timaru, in fact I have instructed some of the Timaru Juniors.
I am excited to join the Timaru team and look forward to meeting you all.
Mrs. Smith

From the Year 3-6 Students at Dunedin Campus
This week the year on Thursday the Year 6-12 students from Dunedin went to visit the new Gore school. The Year 3-5s learnt about symmetry and how to make symmetry butterflies.
They painted one half of an A3 piece of paper, then folded the second half of the paper on top of the painting to make both sides of the paper exactly the same. Once the paint was dry, they cut the shape of a butterfly out. Below are some pictures.
