Hello South Campus,
It has been another busy week at OneSchool, and staff and students will be looking forward to the long weekend.
Our senior students are now seeing significant numbers of NCEA results come in following a more gradual trickle of results in term one. Around 40% of total NCEA credits are earned during term two so it is critical that we focus on meeting checkpoints and completing assignments in good time so they can be reviewed by teachers ahead of submission to maximise results. Our overall goal as a school is to break into the top 20 schools when ranked by UE achievement, so consistent NCEA results are an important contributor to this.
Parents have a role to play by taking an interest in their children’s NCEA progress, and encouraging students to aim for the best grades they can get rather than just settling for an Achievement grade. If any students or parents feel that they need additional support they should ask for help early so plans can be put in place to assist.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers who contribute in many different ways to keep OneSchool running. Our excellent professional staff are very appreciative for everything you do to support the OneSchool learning environment.
We trust everyone has an excellent long weekend and we look forward to seeing staff and students back at school on Tuesday.
