Hello to all Students, Teachers, Parents and Community,
Welcome to Term 3 and we trust the first week has gone well for you all! I had the opportunity to spend an entire school day at the Timaru Campus on Monday as part of the new Community Support programme. It was an excellent day and I was able to continue to work very well in the Learning Centre, yet have the chance to interact with teachers and students throughout the day. Everyone was most respectful and happy and it was great to be involved in the buzz of the Learning Centre. Parents / Grandparents – I hope you have considered putting your hand up to do a day or two a term – I’m sure you’ll find it a rewarding experience!
Term 3 is yet another busy few weeks with exam prep, cross country etc, and I’m sure the students are looking forward to the excursions for all year groups at the end of August.
Lastly, I’d like to take this opportunity mid-year to thank our dedicated teaching and support staff for the many tireless hours they put into helping our students achieve. I think we can all extend our gratitude when we see them next.
All the best in view of a safe term 3. Enjoy reading this newsletter and have a great weekend!
Reuben Deck, on behalf of the CA Team.
Year 11-13 Students at Gore Campus
On Wednesday the 19th we got lunch from the Bogan Bakehouse at Gore Campus. This is due to the Year 11-13s achieving over 100 credits at Merit or Excellence. We all thoroughly enjoyed our free lunch, and the majority of the students got the delicious fried chicken bao buns and fries. We also had the opportunity to get coffee as we got a coffee cart to come to school as well as the Bogan Bakehouse.
