Believe it or not Term 4 of 2023 is here and has started with good vibes and enthusiasm.

Welcome to new CA’s, Ben Witty, Greg Williamson, Rick McLean and Hugh McGaveston. I hope you enjoy the role as much as the rest of us have.

No major issues at the sites over the break except a pesky wasp nest in Dunedin. Should be sorted by the end of the month.

With OSG Aware being rolled out again we need to be reminded that attendance to these sessions is compulsory. The protection of our students is foremost in our thoughts.

Another reminder for the van drivers. Please ensure you log in to the report every trip, this includes the junior vans in Dunedin.

Year 7-8 Students at Gore Campus

Year 11-13 Students at Timaru Campus

In Term 4 we will hold our last 2/3 Way Conferences for 2023 to give parents an opportunity to meet with their child/s’ teachers.

These 2/3 Way Conferences are a great opportunity for the school to work with parents to support student engagement and learning across all year levels, and we are targeting full participation.

These conferences will be held on the following dates:

End-of-Year 2/3 Way Conferences: Year 11-13 Students.

• Conferences for Year 11-13 students will be held on the 18th of October, from 1pm – 5pm.
• These conferences give parents of Year 11-13 students the opportunity for a 10-minute interview with their child’s Subject Teachers.

Student-led Conferences - Head Start: Year 3-10 Students.

• Student-led Conferences for Year 3-10 students will be held on the 5th of December, from 1pm – 6pm.
• These conferences will give parents of Year 3-10 students a chance for a 10-minute interview with their child’s Whanau/Form Teachers.

Please note that school will close at 12:30pm for all students on both days to facilitate these interviews as no staff will be available to supervise the students. Students will be required to study from home in the afternoon unless they are attending an interview in person. Any student who attends an interview in person is required to wear school uniform.

Bookings for both events will close at 5pm on Monday 16^th October. If you are unable to make an online booking, please contact your campus Office Administrator for assistance.

As students will move up to their new year level after this month, we would appreciate all remaining forms completed as soon as possible.
