Hello All,
It’s probably been said before, but 2020 at OneSchool Global South has got off to an awesome start! I find every time I visit the campus that students are hard at work and you can almost feel the learning in the atmosphere; it’s great to see!
The new timetable for the senior school is working well overall and we’ve had some great feedback from students on this. And now we’re looking forward to students meeting with their VC teachers in Christchurch next month along with the Achievers Forum. This promises to be a very worthwhile event.
The junior school enquiry topic of ‘Minibeasts’ is well underway, with the promise of many more exciting encounters with creepy-crawlies that we often run away from or squash!
I’d like to again acknowledge all the staff for all they’re doing to enable such a positive vibe around our school. Also, thanks to the many community helpers who are doing van driving, junior swimming trips, canteen, and much more. It all works together to make OneSchool South the high-achieving environment that it is.
Have a great weekend
Thanks
Jay McGaveston, on behalf of the CA Team
From the Year 7-8 Students at the Invercargill and Dunedin Campuses...
On the last day of Term in 2019, the Year Six, Seven and Eight students from South Campus ran a charity carwash. We raised money to donate to RRT (Rapid Relief Team). We are happy to say we have now collated the money that was raised across the South and this has been passed onto the RRT. We managed to raise $250. We would like to thank all the people who came along and donated money to the cause.
