Hello South Campus,
It’s great to see the students training hard for tomorrow’s Athletics Day at the Caledonian Ground in Dunedin. There are still records that remain unbeaten since they started in 2010, while not all of us can beat them but we can put in our best effort. Get into your team colours and go for it!
A huge thanks to the countless volunteers who make these days possible and successful we cannot do without you.
The Student Leaders have arranged a Dads Morning Tea for next Friday (20th March), we look forward to seeing as many as possible.
On another front, it's great to see the commitment from all students putting everything into their studies, we have had some great results back from the internals so far – keep up the good work.
It's great to keep our goals before us during this time to strive for our personal excellence. The quote from old times comes to mind.
Good, Better, Best. Never let it rest. “Till your good is better and your better is best”
All the best.
Brad Kelly on behalf of the South Campus CA Team
We would like to welcome Mrs Shona Carruthers to our Dunedin Campus. Mrs Carruthers will be teaching Geography and Social Studies. She is an experienced Social Science teacher and has been Curriculum Director of Social Sciences at Taieri College in Mosgiel for the last 15 years. Her passion is teaching Geography. She loves to be outdoors and has recently tramped the Rakiura Great Walk on Stewart Island. She and her husband have a large garden with many native birds visiting. They enjoy learning about new cultures and have travelled to many interesting places including South America, Nepal and Morocco. Both of their sons live overseas , one in Melbourne and one in London. We are thrilled to have Mrs Carruthers join the Dunedin teaching team.
