Hello to all in South Campus,
We can all be thankful for New Zealand having freedom from lockdown, unlike our counterparts in some parts of Australia who are back down to maximum gathering sizes of 10, although schools are still operating in Australia which is something to be thankful for. In Argentina they have been in complete lockdown since March 19th and there is no easing up as the cases of Covid are growing daily. The virus has hit the poorer areas hard and is spreading rapidly, and the government is worried that the medical system will not be able to cope. This means schools cannot possibly open soon and the students are all attending classes from home. Very tough time for them at the moment!
It is good to see so many students who have used the opportunity of lockdown to get ahead. OneSchool Global is unique globally in this regard and is being approached from other esteemed learning institutions and also government education departments, not just from New Zealand, but also around the world, wanting to learn from our experience in using technology to facilitate learning. We are in a fortunate position and we need to be very thankful for it and take every advantage of it. Some children are really making the difference here, it is awesome to see their mindset and it will stand them in very good stead going through life. The difference that a change in mindset can make cannot be overstated.
Invercargill has had a visit from the National Board in recent weeks and Dunedin is very much looking forward to when our visit takes place.
Today, all our three campuses had a Dads Morning Tea. It was great to see all the dads, granddads, uncles, cousins and friends that came along to see our schools and students. This shows your support and confirms your interest in what they are doing in Learning how to Learn.
Have a great weekend!
Kind Regards,
Mike Senior, on behalf of the CA Team
