On Wednesday the Dunedin Year 7/8s came down to Invercargill. Whilst in Invercargill we conducted some science experiments in the Lab. We learnt how to use Bunsen Burners. We lit peanuts on fire and heated some water. We took the temperature of the water before and after and are going to use the measurements to work out the energy of the peanut. Here are some pictures of us working in the Lab.

Year 9 & 10 Technology

Over the past few weeks the Year 9 & 10 Technology students have been developing their rendered drawing skills. Rendered drawing is the process of adding colour, shading and texturing to enhance or reproduce a specific image.

In this case students were required to replicate a series of static images, with a focus being on identifying reflection and shadow.

The students have done a fantastic job and in many cases it is very difficult to determine which is the original colour image and which is the students work.
