From the Year 9-13 Students at Timaru Campus...
The Timaru Year 9 and 10 students hosted another very successful market day last Friday afternoon.
These students have put in many hours planning, creating and advertising their products. One of the key aspects of this process is the focus on collaborative learning and teamwork. As you can see from the photos they all took great pride in presenting their stalls and products in original and customer friendly fashion.
Throughout the process these students have gained considerable knowledge about how to create a successful small business.
A special thanks to our Commerce Teachers, Mrs Raylene Moore and Mr Joe Taylor for their contributions to this experience and for travelling to Timaru to guide these students on the day.
There was a large variety of products on offer and we are sure everyone was able to make some quality purchases.
Well-done to all students involved and thank you to the students, staff and community for again supporting our market day. All stalls made pleasing profits and this in turn supports the school with each stall donating 30% of their profit back to the school.
