Staff Update - Welcome to Mrs McKenzie, Mr Kelliher and Mrs Snow
Hi Everyone, I am Deborah (better known as Debbie), an Invercargill local with a background in manufacturing administration & real estate property management. This is my first time working in a school so I am slowly getting to know the students. My husband Scott works at the Tiwai smelter & we have a 1.5-year-old son, Sam, as well as two cats.
When I am not at work (or at the park with Sam) I enjoy reading, tramping & volunteer work as a member of the Waihopai City Lions club. You will find me working on the gates at Teretonga most weekends through the motorsport season with my younger brother who is also a Lions volunteer & racing fan.
I am a sports mad person, I have in interest in most sports but especially in golf, squash, cricket tennis and rugby.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone in the community of One School Global and teaching the junior students of the Invercargill Campus.
Mrs Snow
Hi South Campus. My name is Trudy Snow, and I am very excited to be working at One SchoolGlobal as a teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years now both in NZ and Australia and have worked over many year levels in many different roles. I have a son Riley who is in Year 12 who is heavily involved in Basketball and Rugby. I absolutely love dogs and my wee girl Nasus is simply adorable. I play Basketball and Netball and enjoying getting out walking with Riley and Nas. I look forward to meeting many of you as the year progresses.
From the Year 9-13 Students at Invercargill Campus
Here in Invercargill, we are happy to be back for a new year at OneSchool. We are still all getting to know our new teachers and classmates, and settling into the Learning Centre but we are eager to get into the work for the year. We are currently in the progress of making a plan to re arrange our Learning Centre to fit best for all students, this is a fun project to start the year off with. All the new Year 3’s are loving it at OneSchool and the teachers are doing a great job of making it very welcoming to them. As for the new Year 7’s in the senior school, they also have been fitting in very well and joining in on all the lunch time games and PE periods. Other than that, we are all just looking forward to making 2022 a brilliant year!
